Fairy in a Coffee Cup

They say there are a few brave fairies
who are not afraid to wander into human homes. Their curiosity about the human world
is so great that they hardly stop to think
they might be seen. One such little fairy
once slipped quietly into a house
and there, on top of a table,
noticed something warm and steaming. A tiny brown lake.
Warm. Fragrant.
Like a perfect little morning fairy bath. Without a second thought,
he sat on the edge of the cup and dipped his tiny feet inside. Perhaps he thought
he had discovered the coziest fairy pool in the world. Lucky is the one who, one day,
finds a brave little fairy like him splashing around in their coffee.

Because then,
their home is already filled with magic.
